These days, there is a growing need to know just how loud your audio surroundings really are – and to find out, the Checkmate Sound Pressure Level Meter is a cost-effective and high quality tool every audio professional can own.  The CM-150 meet the same IEC 651 Type 2 standards of SPL meters that cost four or five times as much.   The kit includes the meter, a windscreen, a battery. a 3.5mm jack plug, a calibration screwdriver and a comprehensive user guide.

The CHECK MATE SPL (Sound Pressure Level) meter, first introduced in early 2003, allows musicians, sound contractors, concert promoters and others to measure SPL in decibels (dB).  A decibel is defined as the unit for measuring relative loudness of a sound.  Many thousands of these units are in use by working musicians,  sound contractors, DJ’s, police departments, racetracks, airports, etc…

Included with each CM-150 is a carrying case,  a calibration screwdriver, operation manual, a 9V battery, and a windscreen.
