UNI-ES Universal Multipairs

Easy-Strip foil screened analogue/digital multipair

ATM UNI-8-ESThe Universal Easy-Strip multipair cable does exactly what the name suggests – it strips very easily and it strips cleanly, with the jacket and foil coming away together in one easy action: no more picking off bits of foil.

Easy-Strip multipairs are flexible and designed to resist twists and kinks.  They are robust,  give long life as deployable multipairs and are easy to use installation cables.  They are not only great to work with but also incorporate leading insulation technology making them sonically accurate with good AES digital specifications.

ATM UNI-12-ES-croppedFEATURES

  • Tight twisted drain for better IDC connection
  • Foil comes off with sleeve
  • Sleeve strips with ease from the cable
  • AES digital specification
  • High quality OFC conductors
  • Excellent electrical performance
  • Good drain to foil connectivity
  • Reduced wiring time and labour cost

Good drain to foil connection
Although the foil doesn’t bind to the wire, we ensure that enough pressure exists between the foil and drain wire for the foil to be well grounded.

Twist-resisting
The components of UNI-ES multipairs are counter-twisted and lubricated in a special way that makes the cable highly resistant to twists, giving it a long service life.

Jacket bonding
ES jackets always strip with the foil in an easy, single strip action.  To achieve this  the jacket is manufactured under pressure without the foil ‘collapsing’ and binding on the wires.  This concept was developed by ramming air under the foil so as to support it whilst the jacket was being applied.  The result is a well bonded jacket, and foil that strips beautifully.

Outstanding electrical performance
ATM Universal Easy-Strip cables give electrical and audio performances that are very difficult to achieve in cables of their particular size and nature.  Techniques and materials from different disciplines are used to create the perfect combination.

Tightly twisted drain and conductors
Tightly twisting the drain wire makes it easier to work with and solder.  It also significantly improves IDC connectivity – the tight twist gives the wire more ‘body’ so it doesn’t collapse like an ordinary loosely twisted wire.  In effect, it behaves more like a flexible yet solid conductor.

CS-UNI LSZH Cable

Dedicated LSZH multipair cable

ATM CS-UNI-8Kelsey CS-UNI cable is specifically engineered for use in installations. It has a low smoke, zero halogen jacket, is easy to work with and provides a high quality audio link. Individual pairs are colour-coded black and red for fast identification and wiring.

The jacket is unusually flexible for a LSZH compound, making it much easier to run through conduit and alongside other cables without that ‘sticky’ effect often experienced with cables of this type. The conductors in CS-UNI are very similar to those in our standard UNI multipair cable, offering very good signal transmission properties for both analogue and digital applications.

ATM CS-UNI-rangeFEATURES

  • High flex, abrasion-resistant LSZH jacket
  • Excellent screen to drain-wire electrical continuity
  • Quick to terminate
  • Outstanding audio performance
  • Complies with fire regulations for installation in public areas

LSZH jacket
CS-UNI Contractor Series Universal cable is LSZH, making it safe to use in many applications and situations including installation in public spaces.

Cores made to terminate easily
CS-UNI twisted pair installation cables have colour-coded insulation and numbered pairs for fast identification and wiring.

Durable and flexible LSZH jacket
The choice of low smoke zero halogen materials is often limited to either a rather stiff material, or one that is so soft it can be cut through easily.  Even pulling another cable alongside can damage the insulation.  This CS jacket is a compound of materials to make it both flexible and durable.  The result is an LSZH cable that slides over rough surfaces and edges with almost no abrasion.

ATM CS-UNI LSZH-crossHigh quality OFC conductors
Conductor stranding makes the cable easy to handle but is not so fine as to cause fraying, and be a nuisance to terminate.  The core stranding and the use of OFC throughout the range enhance the conductivity and sonic performance.

ATM-ES Cable

Rugged and hardwearing touring performance

ATM-ES-groupThe new range of ATM-ES touring multipair cables have been specifically designed for analogue transmission.  The rugged, hardwearing outer jacket is ideally suited to touring, with clearly numbered cores and an ‘Easy-Strip’ pair jacket for fast wiring.  Individual pairs are colour-coded black and white for fast identification and wiring.

Easy-Strip technology enables both jacket and foil screen to be stripped in one action, cutting wiring time significantly.  As the jacket is applied under high-pressure, simultaneous back-pressure under the foil creates excellent adhesion, at the same time stopping the foil collapsing onto the conductors.  This strong bond also ensures excellent conductivity between the foil screen and drain wire, essential for effective interference screening.

ATM-ES offers outstanding analogue performance over distance, ideal for the demands of concerts and touring.

Features

  • High flex, extremely robust anti–kink construction
  • Excellent screen to drain-wire electrical continuity
  • Easy-Strip jacket saves wiring time
  • High quality oxygen-free copper (OFC)
  • Outstanding analogue performance
  • Anti-kink & anti-knot technology ensures  best
    possible performance in tough environments

High quality analogue performance
ATM-ES has exceptionally good signal transmission characteristics, optimised for use with analogue signals and designed to suit the demands of life on the road.

High quality Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC)
The finely stranded oxygen-free copper (OFC) we use to make our conductors and drain wires provides excellent sonic qualities whilst ensuring the cable still remains durable and flexible.

Fast wiring
The tightly pre-twisted pairs in ATM-ES have an Easy-Strip jacket allowing cores to be stripped and wired in much less time than usual.  The pre-tinned drain wire makes the cable even easier to terminate, saving valuable time on-site.  When working with large multipairs, time saved on wiring is very significant.

ATM-24-ES-cross (1)High flex, anti–kink robust construction
The ATM-ES jacket compound is highly durable and flexible, even in sub zero temperatures. The construction is resistant to kinks and twisting, making the cable easy to work with.

Individually Twisted Pairs
Each colour-coded pair is tightly twisted for better interference-rejection characteristics and wrapped in an overall laminated foil screen.

Larger Cores
The oxygen-free copper cores use thicker than normal copper stranding at 0.5mm/2 for much more reliable signal integrity when sending signals over longer distances.

Tough Outer Jacket
The tough PVC jacket withstands the knocks, bumps and tugs expected when running long lines through conduit and across large areas. It runs smoothly across other cables and is flexible for easy implementation.

Outstanding electrical performance
HD-4 give electrical and audio performances that is very difficult to achieve in a cable of this particular size and nature,  using techniques and materials from different disciplines to create the perfect combination.
